Rufino F. Cacabelos wrote his autobiography in 1992. This story is not only the story of how the Cacabelos family came to America, but it is also a first-hand account of Filipino immigration to the United States during the 1920s. My dad, James "Jim" Cacabelos created the original version of this website in the early 2000s on Yahoo's Geocities platform to archive his father's immigration story from the Philippines to the United States. I updated the site in 2019 for better readability and design.
